Different amazon ad campaigns for different goals

You all must have heard about this saying that goes something like this “Jack of all traits. Master of none”. This article will be focused on how this saying is very useful if you wish to be successful on Amazon advertising.

The second part of the problem is that sellers don’t have a very specific idea of what they want to achieve from running their ads. Do you want to increase the sale, make more profit, make better page rank, or to improve the ranking of the SPN? Not having a clear goal kills your ad campaign shot at being successful. Combining these two

  • Having different products in the same advertisement campaign
  • Not having clear goal before running the advertisement

Makes sure that your ads will not be successful. If you are making these mistakes you should read to the end to make sure that you are not losing your money on amazon ads.

Now the first thing that we need to know is that whenever you are running ads for multiple products, don’t put them in the same ad group. I will say it again: don’t put different products in the same ad group even if the end goal for both the products is the same. Let’s say the end goal for both products was to boost the sale, even in that condition you will not put in the same ad group as both products will need different bids, strategies and keywords to properly deliver the results. Let’s understand this point with the help of an example. Let’s say that you have a premium white shirt and a cheap red shirt and you wanted to wash both of them. You will not put them together in the washing machine, until and unless you want your white shirt to be converted to a cheap pink. This is because both shirts need different things in order to be properly washed, without any negative effects on others

Now looking at the second thing that causes the problem in the amazon advertising. If your goal is not clear from the start then you will keep spending money on ads and the ads can’t give you desired results. Different goals need different things in order to be accomplished. Let’s understand this with the help of another example. Let’s say that you have two products (A) and (B) both are different products and you have different goals that you want to achieve with each product. You want to increase the product sale volume of products (A) and from product (B) you want to get more profit. Now both of these goals will need different things, for product (A) you will need to increase bid to get your product on the first page whereas for product (B) you will need to optimize the bid for low ACOS and high profit. Both of these things cannot be done in the same campaign. If you increase the bid to increase the sale volume of product (A) then your product (B) will suffer and vice versa.

Thus, it is very important for you to keep your ads separated in different ad campaigns making it a lot easier to control them and get the desired results.
